Aspen Dental CEO Bob Fontana: “We’re Big Advocates for the Patient”Bob Fontana is the president and CEO of Aspen Dental. With more than 300 locations in 22 states, the company is among the largest providers of dental care in the U.S. Critics complain about Aspen Dental’s so-called “corporate dentistry” model, but Fontana tells FRONTLINE that the firm helps fill a crucial void in care. “There is a big underserved part of the marketplace that has barriers to care,” he says, “So that’s where we come in.” This is the edited transcript of an interview conducted on April 5, 2012.
